Before you install

  • PicoRunner 0.3.14 or later on an Apple Silicon Mac
  • Docker Desktop installed and running
  • Internet access for the initial source and container image download
  • Add your own media to PicoRunner's private library folder after installation; it starts empty.
  • Create a local administrator account after launch.

We tested this app with PicoRunner 0.3.14 on macOS 26.6.2 (Apple Silicon).

Last checked 2026-10-06.

  • source: Pinned upstream README describes the app and its supported use.
  • install: Fresh PicoRunner installation checked out the recorded source revision and pulled the pinned arm64 container image.
  • launch: PicoRunner started the container and returned a loopback browser URL for Audiobookshelf.
  • health: Repeated local readiness checks reported the service responsive.
  • smoke: An empty test library was created in the same pinned image and remained after container restart.
  • restart: PicoRunner stopped and restarted its own test installation; the browser service became ready again.
  • cleanup: PicoRunner removed its test containers, network, disposable files, and registry record without touching existing apps.
